Tonight, April 28, the Brooklyn Academy of Music will host a gala celebration honoring BAM President Karen Brooks Hopkins as she prepares to retire in June after more than 36 years of extraordinary service. Melillo has assembled a host of BAM artists for a one-night-only program of performances, video tributes, and testimonials from some very special guests.

FINDING NEVERLAND Calls on Peter Pan Expert to Promote Tony Campaign
Theater fans are eagerly awaiting tomorrow's announcement of this year's Tony Award nominees, and a Finding Neverlandcampaign is already in the works. Variety has shared an excerpt of an op-ed letter written by Peter Pan expert Maria Tatar, professor of Germanic languages and literatures and folklore and mythology at Harvard University, which was sent out to the nominators of Broadway's most distinguished awards. According to the site, Weinstein is hoping to 'bolster the critical credibility' of his show, which recently opened to mixed reviews.

The Visit is the final musical ever written by legendary Oscar Award, Grammy Award and Tony Award-winning composer John Kander and his writing partner lyricist Fred Ebb, before Mr. Ebb passed away. Produced by the Emmy Award-winning and Grammy nominated producer Michael Croiter Matilda, Big Fish, Heathers, The Visit album will be released June 26th, 2015.
